Bio
Filmmaker. Storyteller.
Simon Toro hails originally from Venezuela, where he started his professional career as an apprentice photographer and camera operator.
He later completed his film studies in Spain, where he forged his own path as editor and DP working for various documentary, narrative and commercial projects – always passionately exploring the dynamics between music and the moving image.
Since 2014 he's based in New York City.
His work has been part of important film festivals such as the New York Film Festival, Sundance, the San Francisco Film Festival, the Indie Film International Gathering, and many more.

His visual style and his unique approach to storytelling are deeply rooted in his love for documentary. He has dedicated his career to capturing reality and truth with a naturalistic eye, awash with beauty.
